Title | Sugar Well |
Description | Sugar Well is reputed to have once been a rag well, and was noted for the coldness of its water; said also never to have dried up. It is unclear from the source whether or not this well is still in existence. Bonser (1974) refers to it in the present tense, but the grid ref. cited on the old WYAS SMR card is only roughly centred between Sugar Well Road and Sugar Well Mount and the area appears to be completely built over. |
