TitleCoin Hoard, Crow Nest Park
Description26 denarii, evidently part of a hoard. One of Vitellius, four of Vespasian, three of Domitian, seven of Trajan, nine of Hadrian, one of Sabina and one of Matilda (Matidia? HMW) (A.D. 69 138.) Associated with traces of a possible leather bag. Found in December 1925, three feet below the surface, by workmen planting trees in Crow Nest Park, Dewsbury. Three of the coins are in the British Museum, twelve in Hull Museum and the remainder in Dewsbury Museum.
