Description | Hoard of 27 denarii, from Otho to Marcus Aurelius (A.D. 69 180.) Latest coin A. D. 166. Found September 1938 under a large rough stone, 3 ft. below ground level, whilst digging a trench for a gas main. Two coins are in the British Museum. Casts of these two coins, and the remainder of the hoard, are in Dewsbury Museum. |
