DescriptionDupondius of Trajan. Found in January 1961 at Shipley Glen Nurseries in a cold frame at the top of Shipley Glen Slope, about 9 inches below the surface. Obverse: badly corroded. Reverse: S.P.Q.R. OPTIMOPRINCIPI (?); emperor on horseback spearing fallen foe (O.A. no. 44132988.) In Cartwright Memorial Hall Museum, acc. no. 57/61.
