TitleThree Roman Coins, Warley
DescriptionThree small Roman coins, one of Vespasian (A.D. 69 79) and two of Hadrian (A. D. 117 138.) It is unclear from the old WYAS SMR card whether or not the coins were found together. Found before 1775 when demolishing a barn at Warley, belonging to Mr Dearden of Hollins. Exact find spot unknown; grid ref. centred on the Hollins. Present location unknown. N.B. finding of a stone axe (PRN 1992) during digging foundations of barn at The Hollins.
