Title | Poplar Farm |
Description | Polished stone axe, probably Langdale source. Found by E.Archer, 'near a stream below Annard's farm on road from Ackworth'. This record originally equated tentatively with Poplar Farm on basis of a grid ref. given for centre of Ackworth but there are no grounds for this. Note on card states 'now at Leeds City Museum' but it is unclear whether this relates to the card index or the axe. The card also states 'date notified 29.12.73'; presumably this refers to date the find was reported. Grid reference is centred on Ackworth. |
