Description | Stone axe head found in April 1938 by Mr W. Longbottom in Bull Greave Wood, Lidgett Green, Bradford. The axe is of Langdale rock (though not proved by sectioning). The axe was donated to the Cartwright Hall Museum, Keighley by the finder (acc. no. NH.4.38). The cited find spot is not accurate. |
