Description | Site of an alleged barrow noticed by the antiquarian, T.D. Whitaker, in the early 19th century. It was seen by him alongside a lane leading to Barkisland Hall. The O.S. field investigator appears to have visited the site and reported that there were no signs of a barrow. The barrow does not appear on the 1st. edition 6 map (sheet 245). |
