TitleLodge Hill
DescriptionGrid reference is roughly central to an area marked on the modern O.S. maps as Lodge Hills. Name also appears on late 17th century map (info ex SAM) in an area which was not (re ?)emparked until 1759 1771. The field is now ploughed but building debris (local stone?) noted from a distance. The present evidence for a medieval park lodge is therefore circumstantial but note that there was an earlier park (created early 15th. century), and the location, on the highest point in the area, is typical of medieval park lodges.
