Title | Creskeld |
Description | Ref. in source cited to 'six roods of land in the common field of Creskelde ...' suggests that Creskeld may have formed a distinct hamlet within Arthington township. Creskeld Hall (manorial site?) (PRN 1436) lies at SE 2595 4437 but the location of the putative settlement of Creskeld is uncertain. Possibilities are around Creskeld Hall or more likely, at SE 262 446 350 m to north east where Creskeld Grange Farm, Creskeld cottages etc. still stand. |
