TitleRoman Road 72b
DescriptionAccording to O.S. Field Inspector (1961) there was no visible trace of Roman road 72b across pasture fields between SE 188 442 and SE 178 444 but indicated route follows easiest descent along spur into Wharfedale. Ross says first 180 yds destroyed by quarrying but then 70 yds of it are visible embanked on the north side by large blocks of millstone grit. Line follows a fence and footpath marked on mod. O.S. The only quarry marked is just west of West Chevin Farm and therefore surmise that the 70 yd. stretch with remains visible may be at c.SE 185 443.
