TitleOwlet Plantation, Yorkgate
DescriptionSite lies at 820 ft. on the ridge of Otley Chevin in an area ploughed up in 1970. Fieldwalking of plough soil has produced at least 150 artefacts and a number of waste pieces, including cores, gravers and scrapers. Quantity may suggest possible settlement site. Present location of flints unknown, and precise find spots unknown. Cowling locates site in Owlet Plantation, but not named on earlier 6 O.S. maps, including 1sr. edn. and not on 1:2500 maps.
