| Description | Large mill complex on the south side of road and goits between the road and river; not certain whether the mill shown on modern O.S. map is anything to do with the goits. The existence of earlier mills in this area and a little higher upstream is discussed by Laurence; it appears that High Mill (SE 2348 4553) may be the same as 'Pool Walk Mill' and may be the site swept away in Sep 1673 (Otley parish reg.). (All old SMR records are to 'Goit' names on tithe award). |
