Title | Gallows Hill |
Description | Gallows are known to have existed at Otley in 1261/2 and the presumed site is perpetuated by the name Gallows Hill a small hillock now (1961) largely destroyed by the embankment of the modern road in the south and by quarrying in the east. Local tradition maintains that part of the gallows was extant in 1724. |
