'Substantial early mid C19 terrace of 3 storey houses with basements, growing taller to reach full height at north end where the land falls away. Symmetrical composition with 12 windows at either side of a slightly projecting, 5 window, pedimented centre. Red brick with stone cornice and pediment coping, 1st floor cill band, ground floor band. Basements of squared, cut stone. Slightly gauged brick arches and stone cills to sash windows with glazing bars (some replaced) with wrought iron balconies on 1st floor. Steps to 6 panel doors with patterned oblong fanlights. Wrought iron hand and area railings. Nos 5 and 9 have pedimented classical doorcases, No 7 an early C20 Jacobean doorcase and No 6 a shallow prostyle pedimented porch'. (English Heritage listed building description.
