TitleSalt Pye, Warley
DescriptionSalt Pye, Warley. Late 18th century single storey cottage.

Salt Pye was the subject of an archaeological assessment by Colum Giles in 1980 as part of the WYAS/RCHME Rural Houses Survey. The photographic images and sketch plan produced by the assessment are held by WYAAS. The brief fieldwork report is transcribed below:
'This is a stone house possibly dating from the second half of the 18th century. It has a single storey with a loft above. A central entry goes into the main room heated by a gable stack. The other room is unheated. The division between the rooms if formed by a plank and muntin screen, probably reused from an earlier building. The roof is of king post form.
The windows have traces of splayed reveals. There is an outshut behind the western cell'.
