Description | New Laithe, Warley. 19th century laithe house with 17th century masonry found in barn New Laithe was the subject of an archaeological assessment by Colum Giles in 1980 as part of the WYAAS/RCHME Rural Houses Survey. In the fieldwork record card Giles describes a house and laithe with mainly 19th century detail but also identifies windows and masonry in the barn probably dating to the 17th century (Giles, C. (WYAS/RCHME. 1980). |
