Lane Side was the subject of an archaeological assessment by Colum Giles in 1980 as part of the WYAS/RCHME Rural Houses Survey. In the brief fieldwork notes, Giles describes the laithe house as being 19th century and identifies a reused dates stone reading 'T O 1751' (Giles, C. (WYAS/RCHME). 1980). |
