It was observed during and archaeological assessment by Colum Giles in 1980 (WYAS/RCHME Rural Houses Survey) that Eaves House was a 'stone house. 17th century. Rebuilt in 29th century on a similar plan. Hearth passage, three cell linear plan' (Giles, C. (WYAS/RCHME). 1980).
