The archive includes a transcript from Thompson, I. 1989. 'A brief guide to the industrial heritage of West Yorkshire' [page number not provided] regarding Leadbeater Dam:
'Leadbeater Dam reservoir built to supply water to the mills. It was constrcuted in 1835 36. Lumb Mill got its water from here. This reservoir forms part of a pair with Haigh Cote'.
