(English Heritage listed building description. Date listed 12/12/1984. http://list.english heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1227308. Web site accessed 15/10/2013).

Black Hill and Black Hill Bottom were included in a joint survey of buildings for proposed listing in 1975 by the Calder Civic Trust and Hebden Bridge Local History Society. It is difficult to ascertain with certainty if the buildings assessed by the Calder Civic Trust and Hebden Bridge Local History Society are the same as those with the English Heritage listing description above. Black Hill is a fold with several buildings which match the record sheet descriptions of watershot stone built houses with multi light mullion windows of 18th and early 19th century date. The fieldwork record sheets are held by WYAAS.
