Description | Holme Farm Barn, Holme Lane, Tong. 'C18 irregularly coursed gritstone barn with flush quoins. Stone slate roof. Recessed porch. Could well be recasing of timber framed aisled barn'. The barn at Holme Farm, Tong was the subject of an archaeological assessment by Peter Thornborrow (WYAS) c.1987. The photographic images produced by the assessment are held by WYAAS. This assessment may have been undertaken in response to a planning application affecting the barn at Holme Farm in 1987 (Bradford Council planning reference number 87/08/05935. ‘Conversion of existing barn to house and garage and remove derelict outbuilding’).
