TitleBarn at Warlands Farm, Todmorden
DescriptionBarn at Warlands Farm, Todmorden. Barn, 18th or 19th century and a 20th century stable range.

The barn and attached agricultural shed at Warlands farm were the subject of a planning application in 2001 for 'Conversion of barn to form dwelling' (Calderdale Council planning reference number 01/00898/CON). The architect's plans associated with this application have been retained by WYAAS (Deakin Design Associates. 2001. 'Conversion of barn, Warland. Todmorden').
The range has north west, south east alignment and consists of two parts; a barn at the northern end which was present in the 19th century and a single storey range which probably represents an early 20th century stable and/or agricultural shed (OS 25' 1st edition c.1894. OS 6' 3rd edition c.1908. Sheet 244). The two have a linear staggered plan. The barn appears, from the plan, to be stone built with a gabled roof. The arrangement of openings could not be accurately ascertained from the plans. The plans depicts the barn as having staggered cart entrances in the gable walls which is unusual. It is not clear if this arrangement is original or as intended by the development. The southern gable end elevation has a pedestrian entrance at the west end.
