| Description | Woodland Plantation immediately west of the River Wharfe and east of Leys Lane, Boston Spa. According to BSAHG (2013) the plantation is shown on anunknown 18th century field names map. according to the BSAHG the plantation lacks any ancient woodland indicator species but does contain coppiced Beech and Sycamore trees suggesting previous woodland management.
The plantation is on the Boston Spa Archaeology and Heritage Group's Heritage List which will be incorporated into the Boston Spa Parish Council's Neighbourhood Plan and identified for preservation. |
