DescriptionGates and stone gateposts at St. Mary's Church Boston Spa. The gates which now hang from the gate posts were originally Boston Lodge Park and were restored an re erected by the Village Society in memory of Douglas Grant, Chairman of Boston Spa Village Society from 1962 until he died in 1968. Mr. Grant was Professor of English Literature at Leeds University.
The Gates and stone gate posts are included on the Boston Spa Archaeology and Heritage Group's Heritage List which will be incorporated into the Boston Spa Parish Council's Neighbourhood Plan and identified for preservation.
