'Toll house, c.1830 for Hebden Bridge and Lees Turnpike Road, now single cell cottage. Hammer dressed stone, ashlar quoins, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. Doorway with interrupted jambs to right of 2 light flat faced mullioned window with projecting sill. Same over to 1st floor. Gable stack'.

The Pecket Bar Toll House was the subject of an archaeological assessment by the Calder Civic Trust and Hebden Bridge Local History Society in 1977 as part of the Joint Survey of Buildings for Proposed Listing. The fieldwork record sheet is held by WYAAS.
