Description20 26 New Street, Hebden Bridge. Row of early 19th century terraced houses, now shops.

20 26 New Street was the subject of an archaeological assessment by the Calder Civic Trust and Hebden Bridge Local History Society in 1975 as part of the Joint Survey of Buildings for Proposed Listing. The fieldwork record sheet is held by WYAAS. The record sheet describes the row as built 1806 [no reference provided]. There are four shops which were originally four cottages. The walls are of smooth faced coursed stone with quoins. The roof is of stone slate. The door and window surrounds are of squared stone. The record sheet describes the row as a good early example.
