TitleHigh Greave, Farm house and Barn, Wadsworth
DescriptionHigh Greave, Farm house and Barn, Wadsworth. 17th century house, 18th century barn and a 19th century house.

High Greave was the subject of an archaeological assessment by the Calder Civic Trust and Hebden Bridge Local History Society in 1975 as part of the Joint Survey of Buildings for Proposed Listing.
The fieldwork record sheet describes the historic buildings at this location as a 17th century house with 18th century barn and additional 19th century house. The 17th century house is built of squared rubble. The roof is 17th century in part with a stone slate covering (and asbestos sheeting). The gables are 'close verge'. The windows in part are 17th century with chamfered mullions. The principal has three light mullioned window with three two light mullioned windows over. The gable has a four light mullioned window on the ground floor. The doorway is also 17th century [chamfered?] with an inserted square door way. The house has a projecting porch. The chimneys are internal gable stacks. The plan is of 'three attached rectangles' [linear house and barn or laithe].
There is a square lintel doorway on the front elevation on the barn and a key stone arch in the rear elevation.
