| Description | Open grassland between housing development, church and riverside path at Boston Spa. On the 1854 Ordnance Survey map of Boston Spa shows that the area still has some elements of medieval strip fields. The tithe map of Boston Spa (1842) names these fields (Field nos. 81 85) as Ox Close.
The area is included on the Boston Spa Archaeology and Heritage Group's Heritage List which will be incorporated into the Boston Spa Parish Council's Neighbourhood Plan and identified for preservation. |
