Hollins Hill House was included in the Calder Civic Trust and Hebden Bridge Local History Society joint survey of buildings for proposed listing in 1975. The fieldwork record sheet is held by WYAAS (Calder Civic Trust and Hebden Bridge Local History Society. 1975). The brief fieldwork record sheet describes the house as built c.1810. The house is built of ashlar. This is a substantial house of the period forming a group with the nearby Southcliffe House, Crossley Terrace and Machpelah House (see PRN 12875, PRN 12876 and PRN 12878).
