Title | Round Ing |
Description | The site is mostly demolished and partly and earthwork, with some walling still standing to a height of c.2m. The site appears to be a possible 3 cell farmhouse with a later 'combination barn' attached. The farmhouse is quoined at the angles with the combination barn straight joined to it. A hollow chamfered reveal and a hollow chamfered mullion with a square back, dating from the 17th to 18th century, lay close to the structure at the time of a site visit in 1999; these were the only real datable pieces of evidence for the structure. There was a cellar below the farmhouse. |
