TitleFields near Broadhead End
DescriptionThis site is a small single cell building (approximately 4m by 4m) which is built onto a north retaining wall. There is a large flat platform to the west with a path and remains of a wall to the south. Large volumes of water pass through a recess in the north wall which may suggest the building housed troughs and sinks giving a supply of fresh water for animal use.
Some chamfered window and door fragments were noted in a site visit in 1999 as part of the Pennine Settlement Survey), these were thought to date to the 17th and 18th century.
