DescriptionThis site was visited in 1999 as part of the Pennine Settlement Survey
The walls of the building have all been demolished, however it is possible to work out hat it is rectangular in plan on an east to west axis. The walls were formely constructed of medium sized gritstone blocks. It was probably originally a three cell building, with two cells to the west and one to the east; this would indicate a combined structure of house and barn, the single cell on the east being the barn while the western two cells were residential.
No obvious architectural fragments were visible during a site visit in 1999, although slotted gateposts within drystone walls alongside of the track which leads up to the site date to the 17th century.
