Description | This site is mostly demolished, however on a site visit in 1999 one wall was still seen to be standing to a height of c.3m. Internal steps were still visible to the first floor of the house. The single structure seems to have been a combined house and barn constructed from medium sized gritstone blocks. Chamfered door jambs dated the structure to the 17th to the 18th century, but several straight joints in the barn indicated that the site underwent phased development. |
