TitleUn-named site at Nether Lane
DescriptionThis is a demolished site visited during the Pennine Settlement Survey in 1996. The site had been robbed and levelled and there were no visible remains of a structure. There were some re used gritstone construction material incorporated within part of the south wall of Nether Lane; one short length may have contained a blocked entrance. In a field immediately south of the lane wall, evidence for structural remains is suggested by a number disparate features; a part demolished low gritstone wall with a stray recessed splayed window head and reveal lie to the northwest and a possible turf covered wall line parallel to the lane wall extends between two pairs of stone gateposts.
