Description | Copper alloy finger ring, probably dating to the medieval period. The hoop of the ring is rounded and fine, measuring 2mm in width, the hoop is flat on the inside and has a raised groove running down the centre on the outside giving it a triangular section. The bezel is flat and oval in shape, with a circular collet in it's centre, this may have been set with glass or a gemstone. The white adhesive used to attach the setting into the ring is still visible in the collet. The ring measures 19mm in diameter (including the collet) and weighs 1.19g.
