TitleAtley House
DescriptionMillowner’s house next to Atley Works, dated 1911. However, a building of similar size and layout is visible at this location on the historic O.S. map, dated 1895 (map sheet 185 SE). The house is of 2 storeys, and is L shaped with a gabled cross wing to the left. The front elevation of the house has a tall doorway with consoles and cornice, with a single light window above, and a large 3 light window set in ashlar, set forward to the right; the front elevation of the cross wing has a canted bay window with a 2 light window over. This is the only house amid an area of terraced housing.
