TitleFormer Eastwood School (now Youth Centre)
DescriptionFormer Eastwood School, now Youth Centre (1993), built c.1879 by Hargreaves and Bailey. Constructed of coursed sandstone, with ashlar dressings and a blue slate roof. 8 bay symmetrical façade: gabled outer 2 bay wings, central 2 bays with twin arched doorways with impost architrave and keystone. Moulded sill bands to each floor square headed windows except outer bays which have arched windows with keystone at ground floor and coped gables carried over modest detailing (WYAS, 1993)
