TitleNos. 6 - 42 Devonshire Street
DescriptionLong row of 19th century terraced houses, built of coursed sandstone with blue slate roofs.
Nos. 6 – 12 consist of two houses under different stepped roof lines. Nos. 6/8 has a segmental arched doorcase and 3 bays of windows with projecting sills. Nos.10/12 features a 2 light window, with a 3 light over retaining 2 paned sashes. At the rear the building has a projecting stair tower.
Nos. 14 36 represents the longest stretch of the terrace. Most of the houses consist of a single bay with a doorway to one side of a canted bay window.
Nos. 38 42 have a canted bay window to the left of an entrance with chamfered stone jambs, cornice and console. 1st floor has two windows with sills. Coped gables and 6 stacks. Inside, the stair halls retain archways and baluster stair. At the rear, the houses retain their original glazing and doors; 4 paned sashes and arched stair windows with coloured margin lights.
