DescriptionStone monument located approximately 10m north west of St Andrew’s Church, thought to be a surviving fragment of the original market cross and dated to the 17th century (with a 20th century base). Constructed of gritstone and ashlar blocks the monument consists of a modern stepped base and square plinth into which is set a circular gritstone column with chamfered square top onto which is fixed lantern finial.
