Title | Cabbage Mill, Sun Street |
Description | Multi storey textile mill with single storey sheds, built c.1870. Constructed of coursed sandstone, with ashlar dressings and a blue slate roof. 4 storeys and attic, 13 bays on south elevation. All floors have segmental arched windows, except first floor which has more decorative windows with voussoirs and keystones. Bracketed eaves cornicem decorated ridge tiles. Coped gables with chimney to east gable which has central taking in bay ( 5 bays wide). To the rear are later weaving shed and another chimney (WYAS, 1993). |
