TitleBus Station, Lawkholme Crescent
DescriptionBus station (with first floor offices and ground floor shops and waiting room) built 1940. Constructed of ashlar, with a timber canopy. Long, cigar shaped, building with curved ends occupying an island site. 2 storeys with timber canopied walkway carried around ground floor (an original feature but has been re faced). 1st floor has 3 + 7 + 3 bays of windows retaining margin glazing and top casements, parapet, ends have curved windows. Six oak door on south elevation. On the whole, a largely unaltered building (WYAS, 1993).
