Description | Row of shops, with offices and maisonettes over (dated c.1890). Constructed of coursed sandstone, with ashlar dressings and a blue slate roof. This is a 3 sided building with its street frontage treated in a flamboyant manner. No. 100 retain the original corner entrance with stone pilasters. Two symmetrical bays with 2 over3 light windows set within recessed arch with carved brackets surmounted by heads (by architect Alex F. Smith). Shaped parapet and finials. The frontage has been damaged to the west of the coffee bar (1993). |
