TitleAshdown Cottage
DescriptionThis is a stone house or, perhaps, early 18th century date. It faces south and is of one and a half storeys. The south front has well coursed masonry, quoined at the angles, and the two sides and rear have rubble masonry. The roof is of pantiles.
The roof of the house is undivided and has a simple common rafter form. Some of the rafters show signs of having had collars. It is likely that the pantile roof replaces an earlier covering of thatch.
