Title | 20 East Parade |
Description | This early 20th century ‘daylight factory’ had a dual purpose: for the manufacture of woollen garments, and warehousing. The building was constructed from a steel frame with concrete cladding and floors, and brick and concrete block walls. This three story building was characterized by large multi paned windows along the length of Green Street, and the extensive roof light, which was designed to maximise the availability of natural light. In 2006, ASWYAS carried out an archaeological building recording at 20 East Parade prior to its conversion into a number of apartments and a restaurant. |
