TitleRoman Coin
DescriptionStruck or hammered Roman copper alloy nummus, probably a contemporary copy, possibly in name of Gratian. The obverse side of the coin depicts a bust facing right, pearl diademed, draped and cuirassed with the inscription [...?ATIAN...]AVG. the reverse side depicts Victory walking or running left holding wreath and has the inscription SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE. The coin also has the mintmark //[...]CON. Discovered by a metal detectorist around 01/01/1984.
