TitleRoman Coin
DescriptionStruck or hammered copper alloy nummus, House of Valentinian AD 364 378. Discovered by a metal detectorist about 01/01/1984. The PAS does not provide a location for this discovery, it does, however, state it was discovered in Fryston Wood and therefore the grid reference given centres on this wood. The coin has a bust on the obverse side and an illegible inscription. The reverse depicts the emperor with a standard, right, dragging a captive. This face has the inscription [GLORIA ROMANOR]VM.
