Title | Roman Pottery Rim Sherd |
Description | A rim sherd of Roman grey ware pottery. The rim is everted and rounded and is likely to come from a jar. It is mid grey in colour and the fabric is quite coarse with small dark inclusions. No grid reference is provided for the find, the PAS do, however, state that it was found near the river bank and the grid reference (SE124 484) is located north of Ilkely on the river bank. Found by a member of the public during field walking about 14/10/2003. Width 52.41mm, weight 24.94g. PAS Ref. SWYOR 2ED404 |
