DescriptionThis wool cloth warehouse was built c.1800. It is built from dressed rubble stone with ashlar dressings and has a stone slate roof. It is four storeys high, and has flush mullion windows. The northeast street front has two blocked windows to the ground floor, the left of which is three light and the right of which is two light. Above is a three light mullion window to the left and to the right is a former three light window with two boarded sashes. The two upper floors have two three light mullion windows. The northwest gable front has a single central wooden taking in door to each floor, all of which have stone lintels. There is also a projecting wooden hoist beam over the top floor.
This building is a rare example of an early wool cloth warehouse, which were once very common in this section of the city.
