Title | Bardon Grange Lodge |
Description | This lodge house was built in 1860 by Cuthbert Brodrick for William Brown. It is built of ashlar, and has a grey slate hipped roof. It is two storeys high, 2 x 2 bays, and is square in plan. The south front has a round arched roll moulded projecting entrance with a stone slab pitched roof. The lodge house has single and two light round headed windows with carved detailing to the lintels. The first floor windows are set in splayed architraves. There are deep moulded eaves raised over the main windows on the south and east fronts as small gables. There are also two tall ashlar stacks. (Text edited from English Heritage LBO decription). |
